Skowhegan State Fair Information

One of the finer State Fairs will open this week!

The Skowhegan State Fair, an agricultural fair that has been running for 198 years now,  happens August 11th through the 20th, and promises to have something for everyone!

The food, the animals, the rides, the mid-way, harness racing, band performances, arts & crafts, and all of the other attractions, all happening on the Skowhegan State Fairgrounds!

Here's some of the bigger events on the fair's schedule this year:

Barnyard All Terrain Mega-Show - Thursday, August 11th at 7:30 p.m.

The Maine State Truck & Tractor Pullers - Saturday the 13th and also Saturday the 20th, both performances at 6:30.

Demolition Derbies - Friday the 12th, Monday the 15th, and Friday the 19th, all happening at 7PM.  Go HERE to register your ride!

Independent Wrestling Entertainment - Happening just about everyday at either 3, 5:30, or 7PM.  Go HERE for the schedule.

Rave X Outer-Limits Freestyle Show - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the 16th through 18th at 7:30 p.m.

The grounds are open 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.  The buildings are open between 12 noon and 10 p.m.  and the mid-way is open between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The fair is running an opening day special this Thursday:  $2 gets you in the gate and $12 gets you an all day ride bracelet.  Otherwise, there are different prices for gate admission and all day ride bracelets certain days during the fair.  Go HERE for prices and days.

Senior citizen day is Monday, August 15th, everyone 62 or older pays a gate admission of $4.

Parking on the infield is $4 per car per day.  Pets are not allowed within the fairgrounds, unless they are service animals.  Do not leave your pets in a parked vehicle.  All events will take place rain or shine.
