For a 'Sons of Anarchy' season so metal that it cast actual Hells' Angels and brutally killed off a number of characters only five episodes into its run, we were hard pressed to think of ways season 5 of FX's Kurt Sutter biker drama could get more awesome. Enter legendary rocker Dave Navarro to play an important role in the final two episodes of the season! But who will the rock superstar play, and how will Jane's Addiction be involved?

'Sons of Anarchy' has played host to some pretty stellar tunes over the years, but rarely ended up featuring the musicians themselves! All that is about to change, as the FX biker epic has recruited Jane's Addiction guitarist and rock legend Dave Navarro for an important new role, to take place in the final two episodes of the season.

According to the announcement, Navarro will portray a member of the "Byz Lats" gang with close ties to Neron "Nero" Padilla (Jimmy Smits). Sutter fans will remember that the Byzantine Latino gang also featured heavily in the showrunner's previous series 'The Shield.' In perhaps the best news of all, however, Navarro and his band Jane's Addiction will also record a cover of the classic Rolling Stones tune "Sympathy for the Devil," to be utilized in 'Sons of Anarchy's' fifth season finale.

Dave Navarro is the latest big name to be added to the current season of FX's monster-hit motorcycle series, which already included a real-life Hells’ Angels Rusty Coones and Chuck Zito, Ashley Tisdale, and Harold Perrineau’s major villain character Damon Pope. Just last week, 'Justified' star Walton Goggins also put in a hilarious secret cameo as transvestite hooker Venus Van Dam as well.

What say you? Do you think Navarrow is a good fit for 'Sons of Anarchy'? What fresh anarchy do you think the season finale holds?
