I was looking for something extra Maine Halloweeny to do with my friends this year when I came across this Maine Craigslist posting:

"Tickets to Halloween Paranormal Event at the Weld Street Inn - $30 (Dixfield, Maine)

 1

venue: Weld Street Inn

The big brick house on Weld Street has a long standing reputation for being haunted. After a number of residents and former guests reported strange happenings, we contacted two different teams of paranormal investigators to help us try to identify who is sharing this house with us from beyond. The paranormal investigators spent several days investigating, using accepted techniques such as electronic voice phenomena and electromagnetic field detection. The results indicated that the inn is most likely occupied by several spirits. Our working theory is that the spirits are those of the Marsh-Edwards Family.Want to learn more? Join us Friday, October 27 at 7:00pm at the Weld Street Inn in Dixfield for a multi course buffet style dinner followed by tour of the Inn. Learn about the history of the house and those who lived here and then gather for a spirit box session with EMF detection.Weather permitting, there will be a fire on the grounds for roasting s'mores and a screening of the Blair Witch Project. Three rooms (double occupancy) are available for overnight stays at a discounted rate and a bunk-house style room for additional accommodations can be made available if needed (contact us!).Menu: Fresh Cucumber and Tomato Salad, Baked Mac & Cheese, Cornbread and Biscuits, Pumpkin Custard, and a variety of our baked goods will be served buffet style. Coffee, Tea, Water, and Iced Tea will be provided throughout the event. This event is open to participants 18yrs and older or 16yrs and older accompanied by a paid adult. Minimum 10 participants. Maximum 24 participants.Tickets will be emailed or can be picked up in Dixfield. All sales are final, tickets are transferable but non-refundable."I called and they still have some availability!
