11:55 UPDATE-  Things are quiet. Area is still evacuated. No shots in the last half hour or so

10:55 AM parade will start at 11 am as scheduled but will end at Water Street in West Market Square. This is still an active scene. Continued gunshots. Avoid the area!

Bangor police are dealing with a despondent man in the Park Street area, which is behind Bangor Ciity Hall. Members of the tactical unit and fire department EMS crews are on the scene. This is an area where the parade goes by, before turning on to Exchange Street.

Please avoid this area! If you are going to watch the parade in Bangor go onto Main Street as the parade route may be forced to change.
