State Police Find Charlie The Stolen Steer On An Island
Well now here’s something that you don’t see everyday.
Charlie the plastic steer had stood in front of Town And Country Meats in Greene for decades, until this past July when he was stolen and whisked away to a small island on the Androscoggin River.
The bummed out owner posted a $500 reward for Charlie’s safe return.
It took almost a month for the Maine State Police to find Charlie but they did, and with the help of the Warden Service the officers brought Charlie safely home over the water to the mainland.
