State police have made contact with two men sought in connection with a double homicide. So far, no one has been charged in the case.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the four people, two men and two women, that police previously sought have been located and will be interviewed. The four were reportedly present when Jeffrey Lude, 37 of Biddeford and Russell Lavoie, 42 of Old Orchard Beach were shot. Both men died of their injuries. There's still no word on what prompted the shootings.

Tuesday, police were looking for Christopher Dube, 28 of Dover, New Hampshire who was wanted on an outstanding warrant on an unrelated probation violation. Police said they considered the other man, Lance Palmer, 44 of Auburn armed and dangerous.

This morning, McCausland said in a press release that they have made contact with both men. Dube was interviewed by police about the homicides and was then arrested unrelated probation violation charge. Palmer is expected to be interviewed sometime today. No charges are pending against him.

The investigation into this case is ongoing. Anyone one with information should contact the State Police in Gray at 657-3030.
