Survey Says You’ll Be Having Green Bean Casserole On Thanksgiving.

I think that everyone has their own family traditions for the Holidays.  At my house it is my Grandma Herweg's green jello salad.  No disrespect to grandmas but if you believe Del Monte, a tried and true side dish for many in the great state of Maine will be green-bean casseroles but we are far from along it will appear on 30 million tables across the country this Thanksgiving. Kentucky apparently, being the capital of the green-bean casserole.

In Kentucky, 78 percent of residents “really like or love the dish.” In Florida, they tend to put mushrooms in their recipe and bacon has become the most popular secret ingredient across the country.

Here are the top five states for consuming green-bean casserole:

1. Kentucky
2. Wisconsin
3. Missouri
4. Iowa
5. Maine
