Team Maggie Update Day 26

10:30 AM Update!!!!!!!

Maggie's Doctor just gave her the best birthday present ever! After 6 long weeks inpatient and many moments I wasn't sure we'd ever get through, we will be discharged to the Neely house on WEDNESDAY!!!! She still has a long road ahead but this is a MAJOR MAJOR step!! Sooooooo happy!!! As Maggie said 'finally, we can have a little fun in Boston!' Haha.

Happy 5th Birthday Maggie!

Maggie had a wonderful day yesterday, as Cinderella came to visit and Maggie and Cinderella had a grand time, having a tea party, coloring, and painting fingernails. She was unhooked from the IV poll and was absolutely tuckered out at the end of the day!

Today, Child Life and the Nursing staff have a fantastic day planned for Maggie to celebrate her birthday! Maggie did have a rough time with her night time medicines, after doing so well yesterday, but slept great and is super psyched for the day!

Remember tonight is the fundraiser at Miguel's Mexican Restaurant on the Hogan Road in Bangor beginning at 4 PM. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and Miguel's is donating 10 percent of all sales to Maggie! We will have large sheets of paper for you to extend birthday wishes, and donation jars as well. We will be calling the family around 7 to sing Happy Birthday to Maggie! Please come and join us!
