A Northern Maine teenager received only minor injuries when her vehicle bounced from one guardrail to the other in Portage.

State Police say the accident happened just before 1:30 Thursday afternoon on Route 11. A car driven by 18-year-old Savannah Flint of Eagle Lake drove off the road near the Fox Hill Road intersection. Her Mitsubishi crashed into a guardrail, climbed a snowbank, and then crashed into the guardrail on the opposite side of the road.

Flint told the Trooper she wasn't sure why she drove off the road. She wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car during the incident. The teen was taken to the Aroostook Medical Center by Ashland Ambulance and was treated for minor injuries. The Ashland Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
