A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured when his arm became stuck under the wheel of a log truck in Littleton.

State Police say the youth was riding his snowmobile on ITS 83 in Littleton Sunday at around 1:30 when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection with Gentle Road. 55-year-old Lawrence Schools was operating a log truck and approaching the intersection of U.S. Route 1.

The boy saw the truck but couldn't stop in time. He swerved to avoid hitting it, and struck s snowbank. The teen was ejected from the snowmobile and thrown into the wheels of the log truck, trapping his arm under the wheel. He was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital by Houlton Ambulance and was listed in serious condition.
