A 19-year-old man is accused of breaking into two homes in his neighborhood, stealing from the owners, and then setting the buildings on fire. The State Fire Marshal's office says damage to the two homes will exceed a half million dollars.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says Jordan Caldwell, age 19 of Woodstock, is charged with two counts of arson. Caldwell lives with his parents, on the Gore Road in that town.

On March 26th, Fire Marshals say the teen allegedly broke into a home at 245 Gore Road, stole items from the owners, and then set a fire that resulted in the building burning to the ground.

Then last Friday, investigators say another house, at 255 Gore Road, was gutted by fire and will likely have to be torn down. Again, investigators say they believe Caldwell broke in, stole some belongings, and then set the fire.

Caldwell was arrested Saturday and taken to the Oxford County Jail. He's expected to make his first court appearance today.
