Click, click, click, click.  You can always tell when a car that has studded snow tires on it pulls up next to you at a traffic light.

These type of tires are wonderful in a snow storm, but not so good after Old Man Winter has left the area.  The metal studs in the tires drill tiny little holes in our already battered roads and allow the water to get into the pavement, causing it to break apart.

Studded tires are prohibited on Maine roads between May 1 and October 1st. Yes, every year.

So, it's time to get those suckers off the Pinto!  May we suggest a nice set of all season M50s for the back?
