Tesla Supercharging Station Opens At Ruby Tuesday In Brewer

What are those? That's what we asked each other when we saw the tall, white objects with red lettering ominously standing behind Ruby Tuesday off Wilson Street in Brewer.

Turns out a new Tesla supercharging station was constructed at the location recently for drivers of the electric powered Tesla Model S. According to the Tesla website, owners can hitch up to the 240 volts and recharge their ride in an hour or so, and then drive up to 170 miles.

The new Tesla charging station joins others in Maine including one in Augusta at the Augusta Mall.

Charging stations are graciously hosted by businesses like restaurants, hotels and malls so that Tesla owners will spend there money there.

A Tesla S model will cost you anywhere from $70,000 to $120,000 depending on the vehicles options.
