With temperatures closing in on 90 degrees again today, we went on the air and asked who has the crappiest job in Maine during a hot summer day.  Here's what I-95 listeners told us!

Laying asphalt - One listener was putting in a road in Searsport.  "That asphalt is anywhere between 275 and 350 degrees", we were told.

Cleaning out a chicken coop in Greenfield.  He said, "It's doesn't get any crappier than that!"

Welding at 480 degrees at General Electric in Bangor, while standing next to an oven that's at 1250 degrees.  Our listener told us, "I just retired from GE, and today, I know those guys are over there suffering."

Laying down sod/turf for the Brewer Rec Department.

Installing insulation in an attic in Hampden. Our listener said that besides the heat,  "the yellow jackets suck!"

Diggin' bloodworms or raking blueberries in Sullivan. Archies said, "when there's no breeze, it hurts!"

Cutting wood for a living!  Our sweating listener said, "besides the heat, add in those horseflies, mosquitoes, and bees!"

Working in a letter carrier truck in Levant.  Our government employee conveyed, "it's a hundred degrees in here with no fan!"

Outdoor carpentry in Mariaville.

Moving a load of loam by wheelbarrow in Orrington.

So there you go, that's what a few of our listeners were up to today.  As we sit here in a air conditioned studio playing music for a living, we're wondering which job that you think would be the worst on a 90 degree hazy, hot and humid day.  Take our poll!  And we'll gladly announce the winner of the crappiest job in Maine during the show tomorrow!
