Leave it to Jimmy to make is even funnier.

I can remember having so many strange conversation over the years brought on by misunderstood lyrics.

Perfect example was ay Mom asking me why the Bee Gees were so fascinated with a Bald Headed Woman” Once I got off the floor from laughing I explained they were actually saying more than a woman. However for the record to this day when I hear the song I'll sing bald headed woman and chuckle.

Then there was her insistence that CCR was directing you to a bathroom on the right.  In fact I have read this is such a common misunderstood lyric that when Creedence use to sing the song live they’d point to the right to be funny.

Definitely, one of my favorites though was when a male friend of mine asked me what Eric Clapton was so afraid of the he laid low.  I think he thought he was dodging bullets or something. I told him he is saying Layla..and he seemed very disappointed.

Then of course there’s my buddy Nelson who always chooses to sing “Hold Me Closer Tony Danza” He knows the right lyrics but he thinks it funny.

My own personal revelation cane in a huge crowd at a Lionel Riche concert . I was happily singing along “So Fly Me There …Easy on a Sunday morning”.  Yup, I felt a little embarrassed. But hey, I’m not alone,

Here are some more I found on the web. Some  we know and some we may not. Have you sung any of these?
