State police say two victims were part of a crash that happened late last night in the Town of Hancock.

State Police say their investigation revealed that the vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, pulled out of Tideway Market in Hancock and headed north on Route 1 towards Sullivan.

The vehicle started to pass another vehicle when it went off the road striking a parked pick-up truck and then rolled over.

There were four people in the vehicle. One was pronounced dead at the scene.  Three were transported to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Two were treated and released.  The driver was pronounced dead at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.

County Ambulance, Hancock Fire Department and Hancock Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.

Route 1 was closed for approximately an hour and a half.

The crash is still under investigation.  No further investigative details are being released at this time.

Ellsworth Police also reporting they are investigating a fatal car crash as well that happened just minutes apart from the crash in Hancock.
