Thrills and Chills Await You [Slide Show]

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Children of all ages!"

From knife throwing acts to clowns, camels to dogs, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus is performing in Bangor.

Known throughout the world as "The Greatest Show on Earth" the circus will have performances at the Cross Insurance Center.

Dean Kelley has been performing for about 20 years, and has been one of the only 25 clowns with Ringling Brothers for 8 years.

"You can come see acts from all over the world," says Kelley. "We're represented by twelve different countries. We have strong man who swings telephone polls all around his body. We have performing elephants, horses, dogs, camels, and acrobats from Russia," explains Kelley.

The Globe of Steel will feature two motorcycles screaming around a woman at 60 miles per hour, and for safety sake, the performers assemble the equipment for the stunt.

Shows start Thursday and run through Sunday.
