Touch-A-Truck Fair For Camp CaPella Is This Saturday

Here's a chance for kids to climb up into the big rig and sit behind the wheel!

The annual Touch-A-Truck Fair, a benefit event for Camp CaPella is this Saturday running 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Speedway 95 in Hermon.

Kids and adults will be able to check out all sorts of public safety vehicles, construction vehicles, forestry vehicles, including a big tree processor.  A helicopter from the Maine Forest Service will be there, so will tow trucks, Hum Vees, Jeeps and big rigs! The Darling's Ice Cream truck will be there along with race cars from Speedway 95!

Warden Alan Curtis from the Maine Warden Service and member of the reality TV show, North Woods Law, will be at the show, along with other members of law enforcement!

Family fun for all - face painting, food, drinks, bounce house and more!

“Everyone will be able to learn more about all kinds of trucks at this event – sitting in them, talking to the drivers, and watching demonstrations,” notes Dana Mosher, executive director of Camp CaPella.

Camp CaPella is a summer camp on Phillips Lake in Dedham that serves kids and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.  It's a beautiful facility that these folks look forward to going to all winter long.  It's a place that they feel comfortable at, and one that they can enjoy with people just like themselves.  It also takes a lot of money to run Camp CaPella, so come out and support a great cause!

Tickets for the fair are $5 for individuals and $20 for families (max of 6). Speedway 95 is on the Odlin Road.
