Kids of all ages are invited to Speedway 95 this Saturday to 'Touch a Truck' for Camp  Capella!

The Touch a Truck Fair is a fun event that features a variety of vehicles for folks to 'touch.' And that means they can climb in the seats, honk the horns, and get an up-close look at everything from tractor trailers to construction equipment.

I've been to most of the Touch a Truck fairs over the past few years, and it gets bigger and better every year. Last year, the folks from LifeFlight of Maine had one of their helicopters open to the public. This year, there will be another helicopter, but it will be a Maine Forest Service chopper!

It was funny last year at the event when I was about to start broadcasting. As I waited for my cue to talk, there were two semi's having what can only be described as a horn war right next to me. And, as I started to talk about it on the radio, I looked at the trucks and had to laugh because in the driver's seats were two kids under the age of 12. And, boy, were they having fun!

Admission to the Touch a Truck Fair is only $5 per person, or $20 for a family (up to 6 people). Plan to stop by between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Speedway 95 in Hermon. You'll have a blast! And the best part of this event is the good that it does. All the money raised benefits Camp Capella, a wonderful summer camp on Phillips Lake that gives a full camp experience to children, teens, and young adults with disabilities. Don't miss it!
