The 3rd Annual Touch a Truck Fair will be held this Saturday at Speedway 95 in Hermon! Stop by for the trucks, the demonstrations, and all the fun. All the proceeds from the day help send children and adults with disabilities to Camp Capella!

This event is especially geared for kids....of ALL ages! Grownups will get just as excited about climbing into the sleeper cab of a big rig, as the kids will get about seeing a cherry picker! You'll have a chance to meet the folks who operate the trucks on a daily basis and ask the questions you've always wanted answers to, like...."Do you still find it cool when you run the siren on that firetruck?"

There will be tractor trailers, police, fire and rescue vehicles, construction machinery, tow trucks, military vehicles, and a lot more! The Kool Bus will be there too! I had the chance to go on the Kool Bus at the Orrington Days parade, when it was in line with us. And it's....well.....KOOL!

Along with the trucks, there will be demonstrations by police, fire, and rescue workers. (including those awesome police robots!) Lots of food, face painting, and bounce houses will add to the fun. And one of the stars of the reality show "North Woods Law" will be there too!

And what a deal! It's only $5 per person to get in, with a family price (up to 6 people) of $20! All the money raised will benefit Camp Capella, on Philips Lake, which provides a full camping experience for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. What an awesome cause!

Organizers want to make sure you know that the location has changed this year. It's now being held at Speedway 95 on the Odlin Road in Hermon, this Saturday, from 11am to 3pm. There is a rain date of September 14th, but it doesn't look like they'll need it. Speedway 95 offers better parking for visitors and a lot of room for the fair itself to spread out. We hope to see you there! In the meantime, watch this video about the wonderful work they do at Camp Capella.
