A tractor-trailer driver from Las Vegas was cited for imprudent speed after he apparently lost control on an icy I-95 and crashed into a parked Maine State Police cruiser on Monday morning.

Heming Guo, 49, was traveling too fast for the road conditions when his big rig crashed into a cruiser stopped in the southbound breakdown lane at the scene of a crash where a vehicle had gone into the median between Medway and Lincoln, according to a news release.

The tractor-trailer hit the vehicle in the median before hitting the cruiser, according to the police report. Trooper recruit Adam Bell, the operator of the cruiser, was outside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

It was raining at the time, but freezing upon contact with the road surface. There were no injuries, but all the vehicles involved sustained major damage.
