Here is an interesting fact about you, if you watch TV that is, research shows that you will spend approximately 30 hours watching drug commercials per year while spending only 15 to 20 minutes with your primary care physician.

Trouble is according to research published in the Journal of Internal Medicine 6 out of 10 of the statements made in these commercials could be potentially misinforming.

I was amazed to see that pharmaceutical companies spent $4.8 billion in 2009, surpassing consumer promotion for nonprescription products of $3 billion that year, according to this research.

So I think it is safe to say they want your business and unfortunately like so many others with a product to sell they aren’t afraid to stretch the truth to get you to try what they’ve got.  Down side with drug products is that unlike all the future yard sale items you are talked into buying at one time or another your health is nothing to mess with. So let the buyer beware and if it sounds too good to be true remember it probably is.
