When the s**t is hitting the fan, these folks are out there getting the power back on, so that you can watch Big Bang Theory and microwave that popcorn.

During all seasons, the lineman and women of Emera Maine and Central Maine Power deserve recognition for their tireless efforts in getting the power back on!

On April 10, 2013, the U.S. Senate passed S.Res. 95, a resolution for the designation of April 18th as National Lineman Appreciation Day!  So when you see one of these guys or gals, thank them for the work they've done and continue to do!

“As our customers’ reliance on electricity increases, we also rely on our line workers out in the field to keep the public safe and maintain reliable electricity service throughout our territory,” said Rob Belliveau, Emera Maine Vice President of Engineering and Operations in a recent press release. “In addition, our line workers spend hours in the classroom and our training facilities to stay proficient and to make sure they have the skills to approach each job safely and effectively. We appreciate their dedication and hard work.”

So do we!
