Wondering what a $4.3 billion Naval Stealth Destroyer looks like as it's pushed by you?

This past Monday morning, the U.S.S. Zumwalt made it's way out to sea for the first time as it was released from it's production facility at Bath Iron Works. This video was shot from Popham Beach in Phippsburg, Maine.

Production began in 2009 on the 610 foot long ship that weighs in excess of 15,000 tons.  This ship if currently in the Gulf Of Maine on sea trials and will make a stop in Portland later this week.

The shape of the ship makes it much harder to sea on enemy's radar.

What is almost too hard to believe is that the commanding officer's name is Captain James Kirk.  Really, it is.
