Uganda could take a few steps backwards in the fashion world and in women's rights.

The African country's ethics minister has deemed the miniskirt 'pornographic.' Any skirt worn above the knee could land the person a hefty fine or even a jail sentence!

Ethics minister Simon Lokodo says anything that:

'exposes certain parts of the anatomy of a person is pornographic and condemns it.'

A lot of people feel this is a huge hit to women's rights in the country. In addition, people feel there are more pressing matters the Ugandan government should be worried about.

So far the government has not passed the miniskirt ban into law.

This is also not the first time the very Christan Ugandan government has tried to ban the miniskirt. Back in 2008 the same bill was purposed, however it did not pass.
