Maine State Police have released the identity of a man found dead inside his Detroit home on Thursday morning. Police were called to the Main Street residence before dawn after a neighbor requested a "welfare check" at the man's trailer.

Police say the man whose body was found inside the mobile home is presumed to be 47-year-old Ricky Cole. The body has been taken to the medical examiner's office where an autopsy will confirm his identity and determine cause of death.

Cole has lived in the home for about a year and he lived in the area before that. Police delayed the release of his identity until his mother, who lives in New Hampshire, could be informed of his death.

Investigators continue to conduct interviews. The death is still considered to be suspicious.
