Despite the rain, David Lee and the Van Halens were amazing!

When the show kicked off first playing 'Runnin' with the Devil' there was a light rain coming down but the crowd didn't care at all. It was really cool to see the diversity of ages in the crowd from kids to seniors who were singing out the classic rock tunes. I think I even saw some unplanned high school reunions!

Back to back tunes 'Dance the Night Away'  and 'Beautiful Girls' turned the crowd upside down, but not as much as when the 'Hot for Teacher' intro started. It was incredible how much the Van Halens sound like the songs we play on the radio everyday!

David Lee Roth is such a character! His intro to 'Ice Cream Man' was quite humorous and entertaining and that is the song still stuck in my head after last night.

The rain really started to pour during Eddie's guitar solo but no one seemed to notice. He was fast, flawless, and captivated the audience. After that was the song everyone seemed to be waiting for. As 'Panama' began lightning streaked across the sky as if a planned effect.

'Panama' was their last song but David Lee asked "It's raining, but do you want to hear one more song?" the answer was clear as my favorite 'Jump' began. Over all it was a great show!
