Volunteers Needed for Downtown Bangor Spring Cleanup

There is no sign up necessary, just show up ready to clean up the debris that has collected over the winter. 

The Downtown Bangor Partnership has planned their annual Clean up day for this Saturday May 2nd. Volunteers are asked to bring anything they can from home that would assist them in the clean up such as gloves, rakes, shovels, and trash bags.

Everyone will meet at 9AM in the Norumbega Parkway area and receive cleanup assignments from there. Tasks include general trash clean up, graffiti removal, planting and cleaning up gardens and removing lights from the trees for trimming.

The downtown area will see a lot of traffic in the next 4-5 months with Waterfront Concert season about to begin so it should be looking its best!
