The Maine Warden Service announced that Erica LaChance of Fairfield, who went missing during a trip to Moxie Falls, has been found safe and sound.

LaChance was last seen on went missing on August 9th at about 4:15 in the afternoon near Moxie Falls. Wardens say earlier in the day, she had gone rafting with relatives and friends on the Kennebec River. After they finished their trip, Erica and three others headed to Moxie Falls.

It appears that the woman wandered away from the group. Friends searched for her before calling the Warden Service for help just after 7 o'clock Sunday evening.

The Maine Wafden Service is now reporting that Erica LaChance has been located alive and safe. Thank you for all your thoughts and support. Details will be provided later this morning.
