If you thought 5'oclock BIW traffic was bad, it's now even crazier in the City of Ships. Traffic has been hectic in Bath since the start of a major construction project replacing the aging Route 1 viaduct.

Once completed the new $12 million viaduct is expected to last 100 years. It expected to reopen Memorial Day 2017.

Bath Police Department shared some footage of of the demolition progress.

Route 1 is one of the most heavily traveled roads in Maine.
