Waterfront Concerts Announce Dark Star Orchestra And David Byrne

Fans of both the Grateful Dead and the Talking Heads are pretty psyched about these announcements!

The fabulous Dark Star Orchestra will bring their Summer Tour 2018 to the Maine State Pier on Sunday, July 29th! Any fan of the Grateful Dead will really enjoy this show, as any given night will see the seven member band perform songs from the Dead's extensive catalog. General admission tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, March 16th at 10:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, the long-time front man of the Talking Heads, David Byrne, will play Portland's Merrill Auditorium on Tuesday, September 11th. The American Utopia Tour will also feature special guest Tune-Yards, a band developed and fronted by Merrill Garbus, a native of Connecticut and New York City. Tickets for this show also go on sale this Friday, the 16th, at 10 a.m.
