‘Wet Hot American Summer’ to Become Netflix Series
Please Netflix Gods, let this happen!
Netflix wants to add to its collection of popular self-produced content. A prequel to the cult classic 'Wet Hot American Summer' could soon be the newest Netflix project...even though the movie isn't available for streaming. Add that to your to do list Netflix!
Producers are still in talks with the writers of the 2001 flick. Word on the street is they want all the original cast members, whom are now 14 years older, in the series. It's likely that schedule conflicts will prevent all the cast members from appearing together in every episode.
If it all pans out Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper and Amy Poehler; will return to Camp Firewood!
Maybe they'll keep it legit and film somewhere near Waterville. The original film was shot in Pennsylvania. At the time it was a cold, wet spring. In some scenes you can see the actors breath!
