We had a mental list of those lights around town that seem to take forever to change and we wanted to know what you thought, too. Here are the longest stop lights in Bangor according to us and you.

One road in Bangor was mentioned as a cross point at almost all of the stop lights suggested to us as the longest. That would be Broadway. From the second you cross the bridge from Brewer to Griffin Rd there are quite a few lights, and they keep you sitting forever!

It seems the second worst street for long lights is Stillwater Avenue. One of the slowest has to be at the intersection of these two streets. Those lights have the strangest green light rotation! You are usually not waiting to long at the light on Broadway compared to sitting on Stillwater or N. Park St. I have have sat there through 3 light rotations on Broadway!

According to comments on our Facebook these are the worst lights in Bangor:

  • 395 Ramp End meets Odlin Rd.
  • Howard St. to Stillwater Ave.
  • Broadway and State St.
  • Cumberland St and Center St.
  • Broadway to Husson Ave.
  • Mall Hannaford to Stillwater Ave.
  • Grandview Ave. and Broadway
  • Griffin Rd. and Broadway
  • Griffin Rd. and Union St.
  • Vermont Ave. to Union St.
  • I-95 N exit to Hogan Rd.
