Investigators have interviewed hundreds of people, but the disappearance of Rod Hotham remains a mystery.

Hotham, a certified public accountant who lived in Veazie, last was seen on Sept. 16, 1992. Hotham worked at an accounting firm at 60 Columbia St. in Bangor.

Two months after his disappearance, he was indicted on federal fraud and money laundering charges.

He disappeared on the same morning he was scheduled to meet with state prosecutors, reportedly to share information that would have implicated others in crimes. Some family members believe he was killed for the information he possessed, according to a story in the Bangor Daily News.

Police list Hotham as a fugitive from justice.

He was 47 at the time of his disappearance.
