For the first time ever in Sullivan, Winterfest will happen this Saturday on the ice at Flanders Pond.  The festivities will kick off at dusk and end at dawn.

Look for a fishing derby, ice sculpting by chain saw artist Ray Murphy, trailer and tube rides, food, children's games and maybe just maybe some live entertainment!

Winterfest will benefit the Mount View School Sports program and the Hancock Recreation Committee.  You can find Winterfest this Saturday at the main beach on Flanders Pond.  Traveling east on Route 1 in Sullivan, just take a right onto the Tunk Lake Road which is Route 183. Go about five miles and then take a right onto the Flanders Pond Road.

C'mon out and have some lunch and see what it's all about!  I was on the pond this past Monday and there's plenty of ice and snow to enjoy!  For more information you can call Suzanne Harmon at 812-8734.
