During Slater’s match with O’Neil, the two wrestlers hit heads and it caused the ‘Social Outcast’ member to open up a cut on his right eyebrow.  The referee immediately called for the medical staff and the match was stopped on the spot.  O’Neil was declared the winner of the match by officials.

Slater received 18 sutures by WWE physician Dr. Stephen Daquino who was on-hand at the Cross Insurance Center for the event.  In the post-match, officials took five minutes sanitizing the ring before the next bout.  This is the second straight event that a superstar has been injured in a match at Bangor, after Bray Wyatt cut open his hand in a battle with Dean Ambrose last October.
