The internet is on FIRE, after yesterday's post to Facebook by the Town of Dedham!

As you can see, the photo and post about Priscilla, a goat that periodically comes down from the ledge across from the Dedham town office on Route 1A, has been already shared hundreds of times!  Not only are goats very good walking up and down rock ledges, they also generate a ton of internet traffic!

I have seen this goat described in the post as feral, but wearing a collar, grazing off the side of this historically very busy road, and no I didn't call 911.

I may call 911 someday if I see a chicken with lips on the side of 1A.

Apparently Priscilla has been doing this for two years now and is still alive.  So, that's good.  Goats can live as long as 18 years, so here's hoping that there's plenty of Rte. 1A grass for her to graze on for quite a few years.  Maybe someone will erect a statue there when she's gone.

Now one thing that I did see a little further down the road past the Lucerne Inn yesterday, and it made me slow down to about 95 mph, was a very large turtle that had somehow successfully crossed the highway.  How cool was that?  Kudos to Snappy!

Today is World Turtle Day!  "It's a day to bring attention to, and increase knowledge of and respect for, turtles and tortoises, and encourage human action to help them survive and thrive", according the the World Turtle Day website.

How do you correctly pick up a turtle without hurting it or yourself?  Yeah, we've got that covered as well.

Let's do our part by keeping an eye out for both goats and turtles while speeding down the highway!  Live and let live!
