Friday night's Red Sox game showed us that chivalry is indeed not dead when this 12 year old boy handed a foul ball to a little girl sitting behind him.

The charming deed impressed the girl, her mother and also the Red Sox television announcers, he then sent a couple of autographed balls down to the young man.

When later questioned by one of the announcers he said that he handed the ball over to the girl because he'd seen it done on TV before and that it was "the thing to do."

The video reminded us of a few that we've seen lately.

Here a video of a very smooth "player," at least until the video camera caught and exposed his magic. Watch as the third base coach lobs a foul ball to this kid sitting in the front row.  At first it looks legit, as he catches the ball and then hands it over to a couple of good looking older girls.  Awww, ain't that sweet.  Upon a closer look you'll see the kid catch the foul ball and then hand over a ball that he was holding in the other hand to the  gushing girls.

This next video happened at Fenway Park. Could this guy be any cooler? He catches a foul ball and then really without even breaking a thought hands it over to the girl sitting next to him. This must happen to him everyday.  He must work at Fenway.  He didn't even stop chewing.
