Whoopie Pie Festival Is Saturday

Whoopie pies have been a part of virtually every childhood of every person in Maine so of course they deserve their own festival and it is this Saturday in Dover Foxcroft.

Many folks don’t know this but whoopee pies can be made in 100s of different flavors and still be considered a whoopie pie. At the festival in Dover Foxcroft you’ll have the opportunity to sample the whoopie pie in a wide variety of creative flavor combinations and vote for your favorites.  The festival runs from 10 am – 2 pm any organizers have set up plenty of activities to help you burn off all those calories you are looking forward to.
The day will begin with the "Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K Race/Walk” at 8 a.m.

After which you can roam through downtown and peruse over 100 different vendors.

They will have live music plus there will be rides and games for the kids. You can also prepare for cuteness overload with their best dressed pet contest.  And did I mention the whoopee pie eating contest.  You can check out everything in store for you on their  activities page .
