They are the SPCA of Hancock County's "Pets of the Week". Let's get to know these guys a little better, shall we?

First, there's the handsome "Uncle" Glenwood. He's a little older than the kittens, at a wise 5 months old. Like most Maine Coons, he's easy-going and super fluffy! He takes his job as a "role model" for the kittens very seriously and has a special way of helping the kittens cope with intimidating situations.

Next we have our cute kitten crew, Tasmin and Thaddeus. According to the folks at the SPCA:

"These solid black kittens have a lot of spunk and attitude for only being 9 weeks old, but since they’ve met Glennwood, they have come a long way in learning to accept humans. "

Tasmin and Thaddeus are semi-feral, which means they're still learning how to interact with human parents. But that's where Uncle Glenwood has been a super-star mentor for these two (and also why they're not considered a bonded trio!)

"Thing is, he is so lovable that semi-feral littermates Tasmin and Thaddeus can’t imagine being without him."

"Whenever they get frightened, they snuggle up to Uncle Glennwood, and when the feisty girl, Tasmin, gets in a fiery mood, Glennwood calls her over for snuggles and she obeys."

This trio would do best in a home either on its own or with other cats. They may do alright, as well, with some slow introductions to a dog. But because they're semi-feral, and require a little time and patience to come out of their shell, a house with small, curious, and handsy little ones is probably not the best fit for them.

However, if you think these three look "just right" to you, you can call the SPCA of Hancock County at (207) 667-8088, or visit them online at their website, here.
