It's pretty rare to see a buck still sporting headgear this late in the winter. This big buck has been quite at sight at the Brownville Deer Pantry.

Hey there, big fella. Those who tune-in to watch deer munch away at the Brownville Deer Pantry may have noticed a particular frequent visitor. The live feed chat lights up every time this big buck struts into frame. His distinctive trait - he still has his antlers.

Bucks shed their antlers annually. When they fall off is usually determined by the health of the deer. According the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Maine white-tailed deer usually shed their headgear between December and early March. April is usually when their new set of antlers will begin to grow.

Big bucks are always exciting to see on the live feed from the deer pantry. The 10-pointer in the video above was a highlight. After some close examination, it doesn't look like the buck in the video is the same one viewers have seen recently. We'd certainly love to know where that big boy dropped those antlers.

Brownville's Food Pantry for Deer goes through about 400 pounds of natural oats every day. The goal of the food pantry is to help sustain a healthy deer population in the area, after bad winters over the past decade have taken a toll on the herd.
