The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory beginning tonight at 11 and continuing until Wednesday afternoon at 1.

The Advisory area includes among others: Coastal Downeast, Interior Downeast, Central Penobscot and Southern Penobscot.   Dangerous Wind chills of 30 below are expected at anytime during the period.

Here's the forecast for the Bangor area from the National Weather Service:

Today
Sunny, with a high near 14. Wind chill values as low as -7. Blustery, with a northwest wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around -3. Wind chill values as low as -22. Northwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 15. Wind chill values as low as -22. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.
Wednesday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 1. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Thursday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 24. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Needless to say, make sure everyone and everything that your care about are able to stay warm.  If you have animals, make sure that their drinking water hasn't frozen over, and that they're inside.
