Meet Layla and Jemma!

This dynamic duo are here at the SPCA, and they're hoping they can find a home together!  We asked them what they're looking for in their future home, and they each gave us a list of their likes and dislikes to help the right family find them.

Layla, who is an eight year old lab mix, likes: Squeaky toys, stuffy toys, playing fetch, being outside, watching Murder She Wrote, and baking cookies. Layla feels that being alone is the only thing she really dislikes. (That's probably why she takes Jemma everywhere with her!)

Jemma is a five year old Staffordshire Terrier mix, and she likes: hugs and kisses with her favorite people, tug toys, lounging on the couch watching the Batman Trilogy, and eating the raw cookie dough before Layla can put it in the oven. Jemma feels like children are too much responsibility and would rather not live with any.

These two dogs are tons of fun and very loving once they have a chance to get to know you a little bit. They can be shy at first, so if you'd like to take them home it's a good idea to come spend a little time with them so that they learn that you are nice and safe to be around.

The SPCA of Hancock County is a no-kill facility, and currently has many cats and dogs available for adoption.  It’s located at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton.  It’s open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays between 11 AM – 5 PM.  Fridays and Saturdays between 11 AM – 6 PM.  Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Call them at call at 667-8088! Email them at info@spcahancockcounty.org.  Follow them on Facebook and check out the website too!
