This weekend the Ellsworth Fire Department and the Senator Hale Hose Company will be hosting the 50th annual Maine State Federation of Firefighter's Convention!  This will be the fourth time that Ellsworth has hosted the Convention, the last being in 1996.

Festivities kick off Friday night at the former Lowe's building with a reception and banquet, a trade show, and then Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from the syndicated show, ‘Who’s Line is it Anyway’ will perform.

Saturday will bring possibly the biggest parade ever to be held in the State, beginning at 9am at the Moore Community Center on State Street.  It will make its way down State Street, bearing left through the City Hall parking lot, up onto Main Street and then turning left onto High Street, making its way to the Maine Coast Mall parking lot.  Of course the parade route will be closed to traffic.

Following the parade, antique firefighting equipment will be on display in the Lowe's parking lot. There will also be a 9-11 Memorial display.

Saturday night Motor Booty Affair will perform along with a 40 piece orchestra at the Convention Center (Lowes).

An exciting Firefighter's Muster will take place throughout Sunday!

The general public is invited to attend the Friday and Saturday night shows at the Convention Center.  Any available tickets will be sold at the door!
