The Maine State Federation of Firefighter's Convention is going on this weekend in Ellsworth, and I just got back from the parade!  It lasted almost two and a half hours!

Thousands of spectators lined State, Main and High Streets in Ellsworth to watch many many different displays!  Everything from old fashioned fireman's musters to helicopters in the air, it was quite the spectacle!

The American flag waved proudly between two hook and ladder firetrucks on each side of Main Street.

Ellsworth Fire Chief Richard Tupper was at the head of the parade and on the way by he said that there was "a whole lotta fire trucks behind him", and he wasn't wrong!  Vehicles from all parts of the state rolled down Ellsworth's roads, new trucks, antique trucks, go karts and clowns!  The parade did not disappoint anyone who attended!
