Gifford’s Bangor Ice Cream Stand Opens For The Season This Week

Seasonal snack stands are beginning to open for the season. Most recently Gifford's Ice Cream has set an opening date for their Bangor stand.

A sign of spring, Gifford's Ice Cream stands are opening for the season. The Maine ice cream maker plans to open their stand on Broadway in Bangor, and their other stands around the state, March 19. The family owned business features Maine inspired flavors like Fly Fishing Fudge, Maine Lobster Tracks, Muddy Boots, Moose Tracks and Maine Wild Blueberry, to name a few.

Recently, Gifford's announced revamped packaging for their ice cream flavors. The new looks pay tribute to Maine, featuring landmarks like Mount Katahdin and coastal views. The new cartons began hitting store shelves back in February.

Gifford's Ice Cream has stands in Auburn, Farmington, Skowhegan, Waterville, and 1109 Broadway in Bangor.

Other popular snack stands around the Bangor area are beginning to open for the 2021 season. Jimmie's Ice Cream and Grill in Brewer is open for another season. Back in February, the seasonal snack stop announced plans to open March 1. Jordan's Snack Bar in Ellsworth typically opens sometime in early Spring.

Crosby's Drive-In in Bucksport plans to open in April.
