As of Christmas Day, the Goodwill store at 805 Stillwater Avenue in Bangor will close its doors until February of 2020, while they do some renovations.

According to the BDN, they will be adding some office space to use for job training, and they will also make some much needed upgrades to the overall store as well. They're looking to add some fresh paint, new carpets and flooring, and a new layout.

They'll also be adding a new section to the store that will feature 'premium' goods. In that section, you're more likely to find designer clothes, or more high end appliances. So you might be able to make them your first stop if you're out and about and looking to retire your busted up old kitchen mixer, but don't want to spend the big bucks.

Folks who are employed there now, will be taken care of. They're either going to assist in the renovation process, or they're being moved over to the Brewer store while they wait for the work to be finished. Work is expected to be done by February 1, 2020.
