The Town of Hampden is hosting a spring cleaning event for Hampden's great outdoors!

Clean the Stream is a community effort to help keep the town's waterways clean.

Saturday, May 4th you can help clean up the trash that has accumulated over the winter from Hampden's roadways and stream banks.

The 'Clean the Stream' event will start with a meet up at the Community Room at the Public Safety Building located on 106 Western Ave at 9 AM.

From there the cleanup will take place from 9 AM to 11 AM.

And if making the town clean and beautiful isn't enough, there will also be a barbecue lunch from 11 AM to noon.

A rain date for the event has been set for Saturday, May 11th.

To be part of the 'Clean the Stream' event, sign up by calling Karen at 862-4500 or email planner@hampdenmaine.gov
