Here’s When Your Favorite Maine Take-Outs Will Be Closing
We're excited when they open for the season, and then extremely bummed when it's time to close. Here's when the take-out window slides shut for the last time.
We checked in with some of the more popular take-outs in the area and asked when they'll be closing up shop. Places that our listeners frequent for fried haddock sandwiches, burgers, onion rings, and of course ice cream. Here's what we found.
Jimmie's Ice Cream and Grill on North Main Street in Brewer will call it a season October 31st.
Bayview Takeout on Beal's Island will stay open until the last day of September.
Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar on the Bar Harbor Road in Ellsworth closes up on October 31st, and will reopen in February of 2020.
Jordan's Snack Bar on Route 1 in Ellsworth is "not sure at this point", but will post that information at some point. Jordan's held their last Cruise-In of the season last night.
Crosby's Drive-In in Bucksport will close when they run out of food on Labor Day. They open at 10:30 a.m.
Bagaduce Lunch in Penobscot will call it a gig also at the end of Labor Day.
Hazel's Take Out at the corner of the Old County Road and Route 17 in Rockland will serve up their last order on Saturday, October 26th.
Gifford's Ice Cream on Broadway in Bangor had not set a closing date as of this writing.
