I-95 Drive Home Mystery Artist [VIDEO]

Tonight’s mystery artist had first dibs on ‘Boys of Summer’ but turned it down before it was picked up and made a hit by Don Henley. Think you know how he is??

When I tell you who wrote the song back in 1984 it is going to give away the artist who turned it down, ‘Boys of Summer’ was written by, Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell. While it was still just a raw track he offered it to Tom who according to Uproxx, didn’t like the use of synthesizers in the track. Mike then offered it ro Don Henley who would go on to write the lyrics and produce the hit.

Oh well, Tom did just fine regardless.  Here he is with tonight’s featured song written by Dave Stewart for Stevie Nicks.
